Scrapbook Titles created with MTC

Here are some scrapbook titles I made for a dear friend for her son album.
I did these with MTC program, that is Make the Cut software program if you are not familiar with it.
Click on link below to check it out it, for a free trial version of the program.
If you have any questions just let me know I will be sure to get back with you.

The font is Signboard
the letters is regular then shadowed

Font used Storybook
the spider web is a dingbat I welded together, I shadow layered the spider's web...how cute :)

You will probably see alot of scrapbook titles that I'm working on to start on kid's layouts for their scrapbooks I am so far behind but I'm determined to catch up.

This why I purchased the program because I can use any font I want and I'm not limited to what's on cartridges.

Hang in There Card

I wanted to make my brother a card to encourage him, the card is from "Wild Card" cartridge, the inside card is shape cut from MTC program, stamped sentiment is a stamp that I got from my local Mardel's. The shape(top note) that the sentiment is on I use MTC program for shape, if you have the Gypsy, the shape is available on Gypsy Wanderings. I misplaced my wire so I couldn't cut using my gyspy, so glad I had the Make the Cut program to complete my project. I used my Cuttlebug border folder "Just my Type" to coordinate with the tree limb.

If you haven't heard about out MTC program there are links below, to buy and a trial version download. If you have any questions, about MTC program, please feel free to send me an email, as always leave a comment to let me know you where here.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARD

Here's a  card from my favorite cartridge "Wild Card" that I made for a friend, it's a little on the small side. I have made a suggestion to Provo Craft to come out with better 12 X 24 paper so I could make bigger projects and pretty bags, the paper they have availalble is only basic colors, I would love to see some shiny, glittery, pretty colors, pattern paper to be able to use. If anyone knows of a place that sells 12 x 24 paper please leave me a comment.

Anyway...
here's the card & envelope

Did I mention that I love comments, if you stop by please be so kind to let me know you were and what you think about what I have posted.

Valentine's Mailboxes

I was reading on Cricut message board about these mailboxes so I had to pay a visit to Target. I am planning on making something for my family for Valentine's.

I also found some valentine's little buckets, I have 2 sons so I am gonna come up with something for them.

Oh, I most forgot they also had in the $1 section some Hello Kitty grosgrain ribbon

Be sure to check back to see what I did with these items.

As always, Have a Great Day!!!

Pocket card invitation with MTC

Here's a project that someone else was wanted over on Cricut messageboard, so I took it as a challenge with me still new to MTC I had to give it a try. What I did was went to over to website stated (http://www.make-your-own-invitations.com/) for sample of a pocketcard invitation and template.

here's a sample picture

and they had a template for this so here's what I did in MTC.
  •  After saving the image into my picture folder, I open MTC clicked on Custom Shapes
  •  select the silhouette of a woman this button allows you to trace an image, a window will pop open for you to upload image
  • select image, now a new trace image box will open, you will see the original picture or image in a small box and then the image you are wanting to trace will appear in a separate section, you will see a threshod with numbers allowing you to move it up or down it ranges from 1 to 255 they suggest you start @ 10 and increase until it looks good to you
  • when satisfied click apply
  • then accept
and you now have yourself an SVG file to cut with MTC.

final results

Measurements: Final assembled pocket measures 4¼" x 5½"
Envelope Size: This pocket fits best in an A2 envelope

Invitation Inserts: The inserts should be no larger than 4" x 5¼" in size. The pocket can hold 2 - 4 inserts depending on thickness of the inserts used.

I have not created one myself just a small one to make sure it was cut correctly, but I will be sure to make one.

click here for .svg filePocketcard Invitation

I was too excited that I figured it out, I'm still in awe...at the possibilites in making projects whatever you want you are not limited. This is another feature in MTC program that I know I'm gonna love, you can trace an image, and create an svg file and cut using your Cricut.
Enjoy!!!

*** I'm not taken credit of the someone's else work just in creating the svg file.

Goodies!!!

Here's some goodies I found, be sure to check back to see what I will create with these items.

Silver Platters/Tray
This was a great deal, I found these at Target in the $1 items, it's 2 to a pack so there was only 2 packs left so I got 4 platters to create something. I want to add vinyl to them maybe black which I will have to buy :)

Valentine's Stamps
Of course I got these from my #1 place for wooden stamps that is Michaels out of the $1 bin I personally like getting holidays stamps here instead of buying a whole pack for one stamp, I like it this way because I get to choose the ones I want.

Scripture Stamp
I found this at one at our Christian book stores Mardel for 75%, I only paid $1.05

I love finding great deals, now it's time to create something.

Have a Great Day!!!
